FROM COUNCIL:  Council has put together a plan for the future of our building. The plan outlines key decision points and pathways to make sure everyone understands where we are and what the next steps could be. This will give everyone a clearer understanding of what is happening. The plan will be presented on April 2 at 7:00 p.m. and April 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.  Please use the East doors to enter so not to interfere with De Kinderen Kloset. Both presentations will be similar in nature. The presentation will cover the plan and answer many questions you already have. There won’t be a large Q&A session at these presentations. Questions should be directed towards your elder to be able to have a more open discussion and understanding.

DE KINDEREN KLOSET:  You are invited to come and shop at De Kinderen Kloset on April 6 and 7.  Over 30 sellers will be consigning high quality used children’s clothing and goods at affordable prices while benefiting local ministries.  Proceeds from this year’s sale will benefit Crossroads of Pella.  Come shop on Friday, April 6 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 7 from 9:00 a.m.-noon (with some ½ price items) in our basement.

TULIP TIME PARKING:  The annual Pella II fundraiser is once again selling our church parking spots for Tulip Time (May 3-5).  The parking spots are $40 each for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  After April 15, these spots will be available for the community to purchase.  There is a sign-up sheet in the basement.  Please make checks payable to Pella II Youth Group and give them to Glenda Van Woerkom.  Proceeds will be used for the MOA (Majestic Outdoor Adventures) Serve Project.

TULIP TIME PARKING VOLUNTEERS:  We need your help covering parking shifts during Tulip Time.  Sign-up sheets are downstairs.  Three shift options include Thursday, Friday and Saturday – 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., 1:00-5:00 p.m., and 5:00-8:00 p.m.  THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your assistance!

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY:  We are looking for some people to take over Youth Group starting in the fall of 2018.  Please think about if this is something you would like to be involved with and contact Brent Pierson if you are interested.

ADVANCE NOTICES:

There will be a Congregational Meeting on April 9, at 7:00 p.m., to discuss and vote on moving forward with a potential sale of the church building and surrounding properties.

Adult Choir’s next Wednesday rehearsal will be April 11, 7:00-8:00 p.m., followed by Men’s Ensemble rehearsal, 8:00-8:30 p.m.

Words of Resurrection Hymn sung by choir:

See what a morning gloriously bright
with the dawning of hope in Jerusalem.

Folded, the grave clothes; tomb filled with light
as the angels announce Christ is risen.

See God’s salvation plan wrought in love,
borne in pain, paid in sacrifice,
fulfilled in Christ the man, for He lives:
Christ is risen from the dead!
See Mary weeping, “Where is He laid?”
as in sorrow, she turns from the empty tomb,
hears a voice speaking, calling her name —
It’s the Master, the Lord raised to life again!

This voice that spans the years, speaking life, stirring hope,
bringing peace to us will sound till He appears, for He lives:
Christ is risen from the dead!
One with the Father, Ancient of Days through the Spirit,
who clothes faith with certainty.
Honor and blessing, glory and praise
to the King crowned with pow’r and authority.
Honor and blessing and power and glory and praise!
And we are raised with Him; death is dead, love has won,
Christ has conquered!
And we shall reign with Him, for He lives:
Christ is risen from the dead!
And we are raised with Him: Death is dead, love has won!
Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered,
and we shall reign with Him, for He lives:
Christ is risen from the dead!
Christ is risen!
