A special welcome to Rev. Thomas Wolthuis, Director of Geneva Campus Ministry at the University of Iowa, as he brings God’s Word this morning.

Fellowship coffee is served downstairs at 9:00 a.m.

C4C (Children for Christ) meets this morning on 3rd floor. Children 3 years old-PreKindergarten will be dismissed during the service.  Visitors are also welcome!  Parents may pick up their child after the service. Today’s leader is Jeanetta Nieuwsma.

We invite visitors and members of the congregation to a Fellowship Coffee downstairs after the morning worship service.

Church School classes will meet from 10:50-11:35 a.m. Today is the last scheduled church school session for this season.

At 6:00 p.m. First CRC and Faith CRC will join us for worship at our church.  Pastor Ryan Faber will preach on Psalm 147. We welcome and thank the Pella Christian High Chamber Choir, under the direction of Mr. Timothy Van Voorst, who will participate in the evening service.

NEXT SUNDAY:  Next Sunday morning Mr. Al Bandstra will lead us in worship.

Following our morning worship service you are invited to attend the 11:00 a.m. annual Tulip Time Worship Service at the Pella Christian High School Auditorium.  Come hear the inspirational voices of both public and Christian school choirs along with a time of vibrant praise.  The speaker will be Kitty Kock, who has a compelling message that will inspire and encourage young and old alike. Kitty is a survivor of Japanese Internment Camps during World War II.  Be a part of the community of churches here in Pella as we celebrate God’s goodness together again this year!

TULIP TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The Eagle Boosters of Pella Christian High School invite you to stop by their concession stand during Tulip Time at its usual spot (East 1st & Franklin) for some great food including Dutch spiced beef, Pella bologna, walking tacos, cotton candy, snow cones and an assortment of drinks. We promise to satisfy your appetite and thirst while you support PCHS!

Volunteers needed:  The Pella Christian High School Eagle Boosters booth at Tulip time has been an excellent fundraiser for PCHS in the past.  All proceeds raised at Booster concession stands are used to support PC academics, athletics, music, clubs and many other areas!  We need 140 parent concession stand workers across all three Tulip Time days.  To volunteer, contact Amy Bokhoven at stuamybok@gmail.com.

Save the date – June 2, 6:00 p.m.    Psalm 150

The annual PCHS Spring Choir Concert will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m. in the PCHS Vermeer Auditorium.

The annual Pella Christian High instrumental Pops Concert will be held on Tuesday,  May 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium.  You will want to reserve a table in advance or you may sit on the bleachers.  Reservation deadline is Friday, May 10, at 9:00 a.m.  This year the band will be performing several favorites including “The Lion King” and “Frozen” and many more.  This is a great event for multiple generations and the whole family.  Free popcorn and ice cream sundaes!!

Marriage Night:  On Friday, May 31, you are invited to attend a Marriage Night simulcast at First CRC in Pella.  The simulcast includes Francis & Lisa Chan, Les & Leslie Parrott and comedian Michael Jr as speakers.  The evening begins at 5:45 p.m. with check-in and a meal.  The three-hour simulcast will begin at 7:00 p.m.   The cost for this entire night is $15 per person.  For more information, feel free to contact us at firstcrc@iowatelecom.net or visit www.marriagenight.org to register.
