NEXT SUNDAY: Next Sunday morning we welcome Pastor Bob Johnson from the First Reformed Church to lead our worship service and for the installation of Pastor Paul Bradford.

At 6:00 p.m. First CRC and Faith CRC will join us for worship at our church.  Pastor Ryan Faber will be preaching on Psalm 8.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY: We extend our Christian sympathies to Martha Slings on the death of her son-in-law, Howard De Jong, on August 3.  May God comfort her with the hope of eternal life in Jesus our Lord.

We wish a happy birthday to Doyle Vande Lune who will celebrate his 92nd birthday on August 16, and to Hermina Stursma who will celebrate her 85th birthday on August 19, and pray for God’s continued blessings.

WELCOME:  We welcome Pastor Paul and Tammy Bradford as they have arrived here this past Wednesday.  We pray for God’s richest blessings on them as Pastor Paul assumes his responsibilities as pastor of our congregation.

CADET OPPORTUNITIES:  The Cadets are looking for at least one more counselor for the upcoming Cadet season.  If you have any interest in serving in this opportunity, please contact Shane Tukker at 303-827-4085.

Pathways of Pella will be hosting its annual 5K Run/Walk for LIFE on Saturday, August 25.  Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. at Pella Christian High with the race beginning promptly at 9:00 a.m.  Registration fee is  $30 (no guarantee of shirt); Kids 10 and under walk/run free (no shirt).  Raise $200-and-up in pledges and you and your family walk/run for free, free t-shirt and eligible for prize drawings.  $500 in pledges or more – 2 free shirts and prize drawing. On September 13, the Bible League Volunteers are hosting their fall retreat at Calvary CRC.  Our key note speaker, Sherri Sechrist, is an accomplished business and conference speaker, worship leader, Bible Teacher, and aspiring servant of Christ, confident in this promise: “God’s not finished with me yet!”  Philippians 1:6.  Registration brochures are in your mailboxes and on the table in the narthex.  Registration deadline is August 31.
