TODAY: Welcome to Worship! We welcome all who worship with us today.

Fellowship coffee is served downstairs at 9:00 a.m.

We invite all visitors and all members of the congregation to a Fellowship Coffee downstairs immediately after the morning worship service.

Please join us at 5:15 in the north tower room for a time of prayer and praise. God is pleased as we bring our requests to Him. The Apostle Paul wrote, “Pray always”.

Today at 6:00 p.m. First CRC will join us for worship at our church. Pastor Tom Dykman will preach on the biblical character Esther.

NEXT SUNDAY: Next Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. we will have combined services with First CRC and Grace Fellowship at Pella Christian High School. Pastor Piet Van Waarde will be preaching.

Next Sunday at 6:00 p.m. First CRC, Second CRC and Faith CRC will join for worship at the West Market Park. Pastor Ryan Faber will preach on the biblical character Nehemiah.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY: Sid Klyn had his gall bladder removed on Tuesday and was expecting to be released from the hospital on Friday. We pray for a good recovery.

Lois Slings will have surgery for breast cancer this Wednesday, August 16, and anticipates that radiation treatments will start a few weeks after surgery. Prayers are appreciated for successful surgery and treatments and a good recovery.

We wish a happy birthday to Hermina Stursma who will celebrate her 84th birthday on August 19 and to Ed Uitermarkt who will celebrate his 86th birthday on August 20, and we pray for God’s continued blessings.

September 11 – Joint Council Meeting to present the Merged Church as Envisioned by the Vision Teams followed by a vote by the Individual Councils.

September 25 – Congregational Meetings to Approve the Merged Church.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR CARY: School supplies are on sale! Would you be willing to help the After-School Program at Cary Christian Center by purchasing supplies for them? They need all school supplies, but especially spiral notebooks, loose leaf paper and construction paper. These items will be delivered to Cary in September. Thank you for your help!


Our Adult Choir fall kick-off will be Wednesday, August 23, beginning with a potluck at 5:30 p.m., followed by rehearsal. If you haven’t been contacted yet but would like to join us, please see Barbara Boertje DeVries. Now is a great time to join us!

Our Children’s Choir’s first rehearsal will be Wednesday, August 30. “Stay tuned” for more details!

Pathways of Pella will host its annual 5K Run/Walk for LIFE on Saturday, August 26. Registration starts at Pella Christian High School at 8:30 a.m., with the race starting promptly at 9:00 a.m. Registration is $30 (no guarantee of shirt). Kids 10 and under walk/run free (no shirt). Raise $200 and up in pledges and you and your family walk/run for free, free t-shirt and eligible for prize drawings! $500 in pledges or more – 2 free shirts and prize drawing. A free screening of “Voiceless”, sponsored by Pella Pro-Life, will be at Pella Christian High School on Thursday, September 7, at 6:30 p.m. “Voiceless” (112 min.; PG13) is a multiple award-winning movie about a young war veteran with a rough past who moves to Philadelphia with his wife to serve as an inner-city outreach minister. But he puts his job on the line to stand against an abortion clinic across the street from his building. Please come to be encouraged to engage the culture and be the voice of the Voiceless.

Save the Date: Saturday, September 30 – The first ever “Fall Pella Games” will be hosted by Pella Christian High School, PRC Health and Fitness and Hy-Vee. A day filled with friendly competition with a 5K run/walk, pickle ball tournament, sand volley tournament, dodgeball tournament and a corn hole/bags tournament.
