NAME CHANGE:  The Name Change Task Force thanks the congregation for their submissions regarding a new name for Pella II.  After careful consideration we have narrowed down the list to four possible options.  A letter placed in your church mailbox last week lists these names as well as how to give the committee thoughts and feedback on the options.  We would appreciate your feedback by December 22.

FROM THE DEACONS:

Year-End Giving Deadline:  The last Sunday to put your Pella II offerings toward 2019 giving is December 29.  The deacons will be working on year-end count and preparing members’ giving receipts after that date.  Thank you!

CHRISTMAS CARDS FOR MISSIONARIES:  It is the time of year to remember Pella II’s missionaries with Christmas cards. Collection boxes are available in the church basement through today, December 15, for Joel & Jeanie Huyser, Doug & Benita Le Mahieu, Lloyd & Nancy Peckham and Justin Van Zee. No postage or envelopes are needed. Mission Outreach will handle the mailing.  Missionaries often tell us that they enjoy getting cards from Pella II.  Please show them your support with a card.

FUTURE PM WORSHIP SERVICES: The Councils of Calvary, Connect, Faith and Second have decided to begin worshiping together in the evenings each Sunday at Calvary CRC beginning December 29.  Calvary provides nursery, video-streaming, and easy handicap accessibility.  Each congregation will contribute to preaching, music, and planning.  This arrangement will continue at least through August 2020, and may continue longer upon review by the Councils of the four congregations.

Those involved in Life Groups have experienced encouragement, spiritual growth, and deepened relationships.  More information will be coming after the first of the year.

PCHS CONCERT:  The music department of Pella Christian High School invites you to join them for an evening of music focused on the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, this Tuesday, December 17, at 7:00 p.m. in the PCHS Vermeer Auditorium.  The concert will present the message of Christmas in word and song.  Please join us for an evening filled with the musical joy recognized as part of the Christmas season.
