TODAY: Welcome to Worship! We welcome all who worship with us today.

Fellowship coffee is served downstairs at 9:00 a.m.

We invite all visitors and all members of the congregation to a Fellowship Coffee downstairs immediately after the morning worship service.

There is no Church School today.

Adult Choir will practice at 5:05 this evening and 8:40 tomorrow morning.

NEXT SUNDAY: Next Sunday Pastor Rick Admiraal will lead our morning worship service. The evening service will be a combined service at Calvary CRC at 6:00 p.m.

Next Sunday morning the congregation will be blessed with the joy of witnessing the baptism of Wyatt Jay Nieuwsma, son of Lance and Megan Nieuwsma. May God be praised for His covenant faithfulness!

There will be no church school next Sunday. Classes resume on January 7.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY: Dorell continues at the Comfort House, having some good and some not-so-good days. Continue to pray for God’s grace for the Uitermarkt family.

We extend our Christian sympathies to Ken and Shirley Zylstra and Lenora Pleima on the death of their mother and sister-in-law, Alice Zylstra. We pray that God will comfort and strengthen them in this loss.

We wish a happy birthday to Ray Veenstra who will celebrate his 83rd birthday on December 29 and pray for God’s continued blessings.

We are grateful for the opportunity to have spent time with you over the last couple of months and we look forward to helping out here until the middle of February. WINTER ACCESSORIES NEEDED: For several years Pella 2 has gathered stocking hats, gloves and socks for families in need through Crossroads of Pella. Crossroads again has many families who need these items for winter. A bin has been placed downstairs for anyone who wishes to contribute to this cause. Additionally, if anyone has a need or knows of someone who needs any of these items, please feel free to take what is needed. This bin will remain downstairs until December 27. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

THANK YOU: As we close out this year, we wish to acknowledge 35-plus years of service to our church by Norma Kuiper as organist and Ron Spoelstra on sound. With gratitude we express our appreciation for your countless hours of service and devotion. Thank you both for a job well done!

Special Pella Christian High Society Meeting: All PCHS society members are invited to attend a Special Society Meeting at PCHS at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16. The PCHS Society will vote on two proposals: first, adding a Vocational Agriculture program to the PCHS curriculum, and second, a change in governing board structure. We strongly encourage school supporters to attend this important meeting.

Family Leader’s Bob Vander Plaats to headline February 2 fundraiser for 818 Forward with Faith. Bob Vander Plaats, Family Leader’s CEO and author of “Light From Lucas”, about his son with disabilities, will be our speaker. In addition to the inspiration Vander Plaats will share, the evening will also include a silent auction, catered dinner and dessert dash. Proceeds will benefit Forward with Faith (, a community nonprofit raising funds to build a family-style home for men with disabilities in Pella. The event will be held at Federated Fellowship Church, 309 Roosevelt Road Pella, Iowa.  Auction browsing and bidding takes place from 5:00-6:00 p.m.; dinner will be served at 6:15, followed by Vander Plaats’ presentation. HURRICANE HARVEY VICTIMS NEED OUR HELP! There will be a World Renew mission/work trip to Port Arthur, Texas, February 14 through February 24. We will be doing various reconstruction work.
