TODAY: Welcome to Worship! We welcome all who worship with us today.

Fellowship coffee is served downstairs at 9:00 a.m.

C4C meets this morning on 3rd floor. Children 3 years old-PreKindergarten will be dismissed during the service. Visitors are also welcome! Parents may pick up their child after the service. Today’s leaders are Melissa Tukker, Carson Tukker.

We invite all visitors and all members of the congregation to a Fellowship Coffee downstairs immediately after the morning worship service.

Church School will meet from 10:50-11:35 a.m. Note: the 3-year-olds – 5th grades will meet in the sanctuary today and December 10 for program practice.

This evening our worship service will be held at the First Reformed Church at 6:00 p.m. Our church is sponsoring the 60-voice Community Choir Musical Morning Star, including orchestration, to celebrate our Savior’s birth. There will be congregational singing and a meditation by Pastor Dale Slings.   Proceeds from the offering will go to World Renew Disaster Relief. Handicap parking and access to the sanctuary are available on the north side of the church.

NEXT SUNDAY: Next week Sunday morning we joyfully anticipate witnessing the public profession of faith.

We look forward to celebrating the Lord’s Supper next Sunday morning.

Our annual candlelight service will be held next Sunday evening.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY: Joel Vander Molen is thankful to be able to return home from the hospital this past week. Bryan Harthoorn was also dismissed from Pella hospital early this past week and is recuperating at home. Alice Zylstra has been placed under hospice care in order to provide better pain management for her. She will continue to be cared for at Jefferson Place. Please pray for peace for Alice and for her family.

We wish a happy birthday to Dorell Uitermarkt who will celebrate his 85th birthday on December 8 and pray for God’s blessings.

MONDAY: Perk Up will meet at 9:00 a.m. at Happy Joes. All ladies are welcome.

FROM COUNCIL: The elders are pleased to announce that five of our young people have professed their faith in Jesus as their Savior and Lord and wish to be identified with His people. Matthew Bokhoven, Taryn Hugen, Alexa Matherly, Tessa Vander Molen and Max Wichhart will make their public profession among us next Sunday, December 10. We give thanks to God for His Spirit being at work among us drawing these young people to Himself.

SIGNING OF BIBLES: In recent years we have begun the practice of giving those who make public profession of faith a Study Bible signed by the members/families of the congregation. In the narthex there are five Study Bibles for this purpose for the young adults who will be making public profession of their faith on December 10.

CHRISTMAS CARDS FOR MISSIONARIES: It is the time of year to remember Pella II’s missionaries with Christmas cards. Four collection boxes will be available downstairs through December 10. No postage or envelopes are needed. Mission Outreach will handle the mailing. Missionaries often tell us that they enjoy getting cards from Pella II. Please show them your support with a card.

Our Children’s Christmas Program will be part of the morning worship service on December 17.

Sunday evening, December 17, we will have an abbreviated worship service at 4:00 p.m. followed by Christmas Caroling. See details elsewhere in the bulletin.

The music department of Pella Christian High School invites you to join them for an evening of music focused on the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, December 12, at 7:00 p.m. in the PCHS Vermeer Auditorium. The concert will present the message of Christmas in word and song centered on the theme “Emmanuel Is Born”. Please join us for an evening filled with the musical joy recognized as part of the Christmas season.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING/PIZZA: Sunday evening, December 17, we have the opportunity to go Christmas Caroling! After caroling, we will gather for pizza, Christmas cookie decorating, and fellowship in the Pella II lower level. For planning purposes, there is a sign-up sheet downstairs. Federated Fellowship Church, 309 Roosevelt Road in Pella will be hosting the Take Away Hunger” community food packaging event on Saturday, December 16 from 9:00 a.m.-Noon.
