TODAY: Welcome to Worship!  We welcome all who worship with us today.

Fellowship coffee is served downstairs at 9:00 a.m.

We invite visitors and  members of the congregation to a Fellowship Coffee downstairs immediately after the morning worship service.

Church School Classes will meet from 10:50-11:35.

There will be a Council Chat at 11:00 a.m. today in the sanctuary.

5:00 p.m. – Choir rehearsal at Calvary CRC (Room 107) for anyone interested in singing in a combined choir for the February 23, 6:00 p.m. combined worship service.

At 6:00 p.m. we will join Connect Church, Faith CRC and Calvary CRC at Calvary CRC for worship.  Pastor Sheldon Starkenburg will preach on the book of Judges.

NEXT SUNDAY:  Next Sunday morning the congregation will be blessed with the joy of witnessing the baptism of Ella Joan, daughter of Steven and Kala Talsma. May God be praised for His covenant faithfulness!

At 6:00 p.m. we will join Connect Church, Faith CRC and Calvary CRC at Calvary CRC for worship.  Pastor Paul Bradford will preach on the book of Ruth.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY:  We extend our Christian sympathies to Dennis and Bev De Vries on the death of Dennis’ mother, Leona De Vries, on February 9.  May God comfort them with the hope of eternal life in Jesus our Lord.

WEDNESDAY:  GEMS will meet 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Cadets will meet 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Women of Adult Choir meet upstairs 7:00-7:40 p.m.

Adult Choir meets in sanctuary 7:40-8:30 p.m.

CHOIR OPPORTUNITY:  If you enjoy singing in a Choir, you are welcome to join a combined CRC Choir for the Sunday, February 23, 6:00 p.m. combined worship service at Calvary CRC!  Rehearsals will be today (February 16) and February 23, 5:00 p.m. at Calvary CRC in Room 107.  We will sing the anthem Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing under the direction of Barbara Boertje DeVries.

OFFERING:  Our offering today will go to the “Christian Education Fund”.  Our offering February 23 will go to the “Pella II Cadets”.  Loose change and undesignated checks go towards the mission or organization of the week.  If you desire to contribute to Second Christian Reformed Church and its ministries, simply write “Pella 2” on the memo line of your check. You can also give online by going online to pella2crc.breezechms.com/give/online.

ADVANCE NOTICES:

The P.E.T. Fundraising Auction will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at Pella Christian High School.   The meal will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will start at 7:00 p.m.  Save the date!  There are sign-up sheets downstairs for auction items and volunteers.

PULLED PORK SUPPER: Faith Church’s Outreach Ministry invites you to a Pulled Pork Supper on Wednesday, February 19, serving 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Faith. The menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, cheesy potatoes, green beans, applesauce and homemade desserts.  Freewill offering.

LAKE VIEW WORK TRIP:  Want to make a difference during your spring break this year?  All high school students, college students, and adults are invited to join Lake View Camp as they head south to Cary, Mississippi March 13-21.  Bless families affected by the floods of 2019.  Help with home repair demolition, and local outreach in two of the poorest counties in the United States.  Go to www.lakeviewconference.com for more info and registration.
