Aaron Baart, Dean of Chapel at Dordt College, will give a presentation for parents, youth leaders, and other adults on youth culture on Thursday, March 1, at 7:00 p.m. at Pella Christian High School. Baart has been researching why Gen Z is leaving organizational church and in many ways, Christianity, in such high numbers and what we can do as parents and churches to stem the tide. At Dordt College, Baart teaches, writes, preaches, and spends time regularly with students. He is the co-founder and president of One Body One Hope, a community-development and church-planting ministry in Liberia, West Africa, where he visits regularly. He will be leading the Spiritual Renewal Days for students at Pella Christian High School on March 1 & 2.

CREATION STATION CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL is gearing up for registration for the 2018-2019 school year. Parent Preview Night: Pella Christian High School invites all parents of 8th graders to the annual Parent Preview Night to be held Tuesday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Information about high school (academics, extra-curriculars, costs, financial aid, etc.) will be shared. Refreshments and a time of fellowship and tours of the building will follow the meeting. Anyone who knows of a family considering PCHS (for any HS-aged student) is encouraged to personally invite them to this meeting.
Peoria Christian School will hold Kindergarten Round-Up on March 7 from 8:10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please contact Peoria Christian School’s office with the names of any child who is interested in attending. We would like to send them a personal invitation.
Spring Drama Production: Pella Christian High School will end their successful theatre season this spring with The Crucible, a powerful drama about the Puritan purge of witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692. Written by American playwright Arthur Miller, it is both a gripping historical play and a timely parable of our contemporary society. Under the direction of Van Peursem, The Crucible will be presented Friday and Saturday, March 23-24, with tickets going on sale March 5.

DUTCH LETTERS: Peoria Christian School Circle is once again selling delicious homemade Dutch Letters. These are perfect for Easter, Tulip Time and Mother’s Day! Order forms are available at the school office or by contacting Michelle De Haan. The cost is $48 for a dozen (12), $25 for ½ dozen (6) and individual letters are $4.25. All orders are due by Monday, March 5. The Dutch Letters will be made on Saturday, March 17 (starting at 8) and all orders must be picked up that afternoon from either the school gym or Lisa Vermeer’s home in Pella.
