TODAY: Welcome to Worship!  We welcome all who worship with us today.

Fellowship coffee is served downstairs at 9:00 a.m.

C4C (Children for Christ) meets this morning on 3rd floor. Children 3 years old-PreKindergarten will be dismissed after the offering.  Visitors are also welcome!  Parents may pick up their child after the service. Today’s leader is Crystal Schreur.

We invite all visitors and all members of the congregation to a Fellowship Coffee downstairs immediately after the morning worship service.

Church School Classes will meet from 10:50-11:35.

There will be a Council Chat at 11:00 a.m. today in the sanctuary.

At 6:00 p.m. we will join Connect Church and Calvary CRC at Calvary CRC for worship. Pastor Dale Slings will preach on the book of Joshua.

NEXT SUNDAY:  At 6:00 p.m. we will join Connect Church, Faith CRC and Calvary CRC at Calvary CRC for worship.  Pastor Sheldon Starkenburg will preach on the book of Judges.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY:  Sylvia Langstraat wishes to thank the Goodfellas for their help moving her to Vriendschap last week.  It was much appreciated.

Bill Gilsdorf (father of Kathy Shadden) passed away on January 28 at the Marshalltown Veterans Home.  If you wish to send a card to Jimmy and Kathy Shadden their address is 12803 Killdeer Ave., Kellogg, IA  50135.

MONDAY:  Perk-Up will meet at 9:00 a.m. at Happy Joes.  All ladies are welcome.

All-church prayer meeting at the parsonage from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  We invite all to join us to pray for the ministries and outreach of our congregation.

WEDNESDAY:  The Quilting Small Group will meet at 9:00 a.m. in the church basement. New members are welcome! Call Karen Spencer for more information.

Christian Fellowship Hour will meet at 1:30 p.m.  All ladies are welcome to join us!

Kingdom Kids will meet from 5:30-6:50 p.m.  The theme is “Jesus Loved Children – Jesus Showed Love to People” (Valentines Day).

GEMS will meet 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Cadets will meet 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Adult Choir Rehearsal, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

CHOIR OPPORTUNITY:  If you enjoy singing in a Choir, you are welcome to join a combined CRC Choir for the Sunday, February 23, 6:00 p.m. combined worship service at Calvary CRC!  Rehearsals will be Sunday, February 16 and 23, 5:00 p.m. at Calvary CRC in Room 107.  We will sing the anthem Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing under the direction of Barbara Boertje DeVries.

OFFERING:  Our offering today will go to the “Office of Social Justice”.  Our offering February 16 will go to the “Christian Education Fund”.  Loose change and undesignated checks go towards the mission or organization of the week.  If you desire to contribute to Second Christian Reformed Church and its ministries, simply write “Pella 2” on the memo line of your check. GRIEF SUPPORT:  The Well will host speaker Angela Van Roekel, Making a Memory Keepsake, this Monday, February 10, 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Well.

LEIGHTON GEMS AND CADETS SOUP SUPPER is this Wednesday, February 12, at the Leighton CRC from 5:00-7:00 p.m., serving chili, chicken and broccoli cheese soups, beef burgers, hot dogs and homemade desserts.  Proceeds go to both clubs.

ADVANCE NOTICES:

The P.E.T. Fundraising Auction will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at Pella Christian High School.   The meal will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will start at 7:00 p.m.  Save the date!

Faith Church’s Outreach Ministry invites you to a Pulled Pork Supper on Wednesday, February 19, serving 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Faith. The menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, cheesy potatoes, green beans, applesauce and homemade desserts.  Freewill offering.

LAKE VIEW WORK TRIP:  Want to make a difference during your spring break this year?  All high school students, college students, and adults are invited to join Lake View Camp as they head south to Cary, Mississippi March 13-21.  Bless families affected by the floods of 2019.  Help with home repair demolition, and local outreach in two of the poorest counties in the United States.  Go to www.lakeviewconference.com for more info and registration.
