Installation of Elders and Deacons will take place this morning. New Elders are Ryan Hoekstra, Calvin Roose and Steve Roose. New Deacons are Corey Magnussen and Steve Talsma. Let us be faithful in our prayers for them as they take up their service in the new year.
C4C (Children for Christ) meets this morning on 3rd floor. Children 3 years old-PreKindergarten will be dismissed during the service. Visitors are also welcome! Parents may pick up their child after the service. Today’s leaders are Sharesa and Addie Van Arendonk.
We invite all visitors and all members of the congregation to a Fellowship Coffee downstairs immediately after the morning worship service.
Church School will meet from 10:50-11:35.
There will be a Council Chat at 11:00 this morning in the sanctuary.
At 6:00 p.m. we will gather with First CRC and Faith CRC at Faith CRC. Offering is for Lakeview Camp.
NEXT SUNDAY: Mission Committee will meet on January 21 at 4:30 p.m.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY: Dorell Uitermarkt suffered a mild stroke Thursday evening. He has also been fighting a fever. Continue to remember him and Elizabeth and their family in this time of waiting.
We wish a happy birthday to Glenda Klyn who celebrated her 82nd birthday on January 10 and to Esther Van Gent who celebrates her 86th birthday today, January 14, and pray for God’s continued blessings.

TUESDAY: All Pella Christian High School society members are invited to attend a special society meeting at PCHS at 7:00 p.m. on January 16. The Society will vote on two proposals: first, adding a Vocational Agriculture program to the PCHS curriculum, and second, making a slight change to governing board district structure. The VoAg motion is to add VoAg and FFA to the classes and programs offered at PCHS. The governing board motion is to move one board position from both District I and District IV and add two At Large District positions. FROM THE COUNCIL: At our last meeting the Council received the memberships of Will Vande Voort from Peoria Christian Reformed Church, and Jon and Lindsay Golliet and their children, Noah, Jonah and Lilah from Sully Christian Reformed Church. We warmly welcome these new members to our fellowship with gratitude to God for bringing them into our church family.

ITEMS NEEDED: The GEMS girls are collecting hygiene items to create 45 hygiene packs to be included in the Pack the Backpack program. This program provides extra food for students on Friday to ensure they have enough to eat Saturday and Sunday and that they come back to school Monday ready to learn. The program is now including a hygiene pack twice a year to ensure students also have the necessary items to physically feel their best. The GEMS will be collecting items downstairs through January 31. Please see the sign-up sheet downstairs for a list of specific items and size examples.

HURRICANE HARVEY VICTIMS NEED OUR HELP! There will be a World Renew mission/work trip to Port Arthur, Texas, February 17 through February 24. We will be doing various reconstruction work.
