At 6:00 p.m. we will join Connect Church (formerly First CRC) and Faith CRC at Connect Church for worship.  Pastor Paul Bradford will preach on the Fifth Commandment, Honor your father and your mother.

NEXT SUNDAY:  At 6:00 p.m. we will join Connect Church (formerly First CRC) and Faith CRC at Connect Church for worship.  Pastor Brad Meinders will preach on the Sixth commandment, You shall not murder.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY:  Sylvia Langstraat has been diagnosed with a mass in her lung and a suspicious lymph node in her chest.  An ex-ray will be taken again in one month.  No treatment is planned. Please keep Sylvia in your prayers.

We extend our Christian sympathy to Alex and Merlita Agbuya on the death of Alex’s sister in the Philippines on July 13.  May God comfort them with the hope of eternal life in Jesus our Lord.

We rejoice at the birth of a healthy boy, Mason Samuel, on July 14 to Jon and Nicole Yoder.  We thank God for this great gift!

PEORIA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL Annual Society Meeting will be Monday, July 22, 7:00 p.m. at Peoria CRC (childcare available).  Please prayerfully consider the following nominees for new board members: Eric Fynaardt, Spencer Fynaardt, Kevin Van Der Hart and Jeff Vander Molen.  Retiring members are Dan Hol, Glenn Meinders and Chris Ver Meer.  2019-2020 registration will be held at 6:00 p.m. before the society meeting, and an ice cream social will follow at the school.

PELLA CHRISTIAN GRADE SCHOOL OPENINGS: (For the 2019-20 School Year)

Part Time Janitor – Pella Christian Grade School has a position opening for three hours each evening or morning following a school day.  There are no additional responsibilities during summer breaks or days that school is not in session.  The candidate will work under the supervision of PCGS custodian, Kevin Stursma.  The candidate can choose the three-hour window in between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 am.  Please contact Kevin Stursma with questions stursmak@pellachristian.net.

Food Service Opening  – Pella Christian Grade School has a three-day-a-week (Monday, Thursday, and Friday), three-hour-a-day food service worker opening (from 10:45-1:45 p.m.)  Primary responsibility includes washing dishes, serving K-2, and general clean up/help around the kitchen.   If you have questions about this opening please contact Taunya Van Maanen at vanmaanent@pellachristian.net for more information.

Bus Drivers – Full time and part time bus drivers are needed.  Qualified candidates will need to have or obtain a CDL license with passenger endorsement (preferably air brake endorsement, as well) and pass a DOT physical and drug and alcohol test.  Training is available to help get CDL, if they do not currently have one.  Contact Chris Fynaardt at either 641-295-4354 or fynaardtch@pellachristian.net for more information.

STUDY HALL MONITORS:  Pella Christian High School has an opening for a study hall monitor position for the 2019-20 school year.  This is a shared position that allows for some flexibility in hours.  A teaching certificate is not required.  If interested, please contact Principal Dan Van Kooten at vankootend@pceagles.org or at 641-204-2662.

IT’S BLUEBERRY TIME!  Fresh, delicious, hand-picked, straight from Michigan blueberries are being sold by Lake View Camp as a fundraiser for their summer camping ministry. A shipment of blueberries will be delivered on Saturday, August 3, to Pella. Have your orders in by July 29 for this delivery.
