NEW NAME NEXT STEPS: We are excited to adopt Cornerstone Church as our new doing business as name.  The intent is to implement it in a purposeful and meaningful manner.  This will include development of a new logo, website, literature, and more.  In order to coordinate these updates, we are assembling the Name Implementation Task Force.  This group will prepare and help implement the plan to rollout the new name across the church.  If you are interested in the opportunity to be a part of the Name Implementation Task Force, please contact Jason Van Hal (jsnvnhl@gmail.com) by August 8.  This temporary commitment includes participating in meetings and completing outside meeting tasks.  Updates on progress will be communicated periodically to the congregation.  Thank you for your prayers and support for this transition. – Governing Board

SUMMER MUSIC MINISTRY:  Even in the absence of Choir, anyone comfortable singing or playing a solo and/or in a small (“socially distanced”) group is encouraged to let Barbara Boertje DeVries know.  We are a “Psalm 150 People”, a congregation to whom God has generously given many musical talents, so let’s continue the theme: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” – Praise the Lord!

AT-HOME FAITH FORMATION:  Mealtime prayers remind us that God provides for us and model for kids how to connect with God regularly and sincerely.  Here’s a table prayer by Maureen Edwards, from Blessed Be Our Table, Wild Goose 2003.  “Loving God, bless our food and drink, our friendship and our laughter, that we may be renewed in body, mind, and spirit to work together for the coming of your kingdom of justice, love, and peace.  Amen.”
