TODAY: Welcome to Worship!  We welcome all who worship with us today.

Fellowship coffee is served downstairs at 9:00 a.m.

Today we welcome Pastor Paul Bradford to be part of our service and bring the Word of God.  Pastor Paul has been evaluated by our search committee and, as the next step in the evaluation process, invited to preach.  Pastor Paul and his wife Tammy will join us downstairs for fellowship and special Cranberry Stone goodies after the service.  If you have questions about him and his ministry, utilize this time to ask questions.  There is also a handout in your mailbox with information about him.

A Bit About Pastor Paul Bradford

Pastor Paul Bradford was born in Texas and was raised in Oklahoma. His father, Brick Bradford, was a Presbyterian Minister who founded the Presbyterian-Reformed Ministries International, an organization working for renewal in lives and congregations in the reformed traditions. In his younger years, Paul often traveled with his dad and family across America. They attended numerous churches representing dozens of denominations. This gave Paul an appreciation for the larger body of Christ and a passion for the unity of believers. Paul made a personal commitment to Christ at a young age.

Paul received his Master of Divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from King’s University in Van Nuys, California. He has planted two churches and has served in two established congregations. Paul has spent most of his life and ministry years in Michigan. In ministry, Paul has a deep desire to teach the Bible in a clear, accurate and practical way that brings lasting life change. He also longs for people to know and receive the love and abundant life of Jesus, and to experience the fullness of God’s Spirit. He desires to be used of the Lord to lead and empower people to be effective in life and ministry. He deeply values prayer, God’s amazing grace, authenticity, truth, marriage and family.

Paul’s wife, Tammy, grew up in Grand Blanc, Michigan. She went to Central Michigan University where she received her Bachelor of Music Education with emphasis in Piano and Voice. She has taught choir and vocal music in public, charter, and private schools. She has also taught private piano and voice lessons to hundreds, and has been continually involved in church music and worship throughout her life. Paul and Tammy have four grown children, two daughters and a son who live in the Los Angeles area, and one son who lives in Western Michigan.

In addition to his passion for God and people, Paul enjoys his date night with his wonderful wife, time with his amazing kids, reading, learning, technology (anything made by Apple), good coffee, hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, biking, and water sports.

LAKE VIEW CAMP / ANGEL TREE needs our help again getting just a few supplies for filling some backpacks so they have enough for the summer. They are in need of 100 towels, 100 notebooks, and 100 bottles of shampoo. They currently have enough of the other supplies that we would normally purchase so they only need these 3 items.

On the table in the basement and the narthex are cards that you can pick up for these items. You are welcome to take one of each or as many as you would like to purchase of them. There are 100 of each so if the cards are all gone the need has been met.

The time frame is a little short again so could you please have the supplies back by next Sunday, July 15. If you have questions see or call Brent or Susan Pierson 641-780-3456.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: Our church is again partnering with the Pella Food Shelf in providing school supplies for local children going back to school in August. Would you be able to help by purchasing one or more of the items needed and bring them to church by July 29?  Please check out the list on the table downstairs.

BABY GIFTS:  A table is located downstairs for anyone who wishes to bring a baby gift to welcome Colton Corey, son of Corey and Katie Magnussen, born on June 14. – Sponsored by the Quilting Small Group

CHURCH PHOTO DIRECTORY UPDATE:  It’s time to update our church photo directory again.  We will be adding updated photos and information to the current 3-ring binder directory.  If you want to update your photo and/or your information, this is your chance.  You may submit your own photo or we will take it for you.  Melissa Tukker will be taking photos after church on July 22 and August 5.  You can sign up on the list in the narthex or the basement.  If you want to submit a photo, you can email it to bpierson@iowatelecom.net.  If it is a professional photo, please include permission from the photographer. If you want to update your information you can email it to the same address or there are forms in the basement and narthex.  If you don’t want to update your photo or information, that’s fine – what is currently in the book will remain there.  If you have questions, please talk to Melissa Tukker, Stephanie Roose, Paula Klyn or Susan Pierson.
