Church School Classes will meet from 10:50-11:35.

At 6:00 p.m. we will meet at Calvary CRC to join Connect Church, Faith CRC and Calvary CRC for worship.  Pastor Nate Klingenberg will preach on the books of Samuel.

NEXT SUNDAY:  Daylight Savings Time begins next Sunday.  Remember to set your clocks forward one hour!

At 6:00 p.m. we will meet for combined worship again at Calvary CRC.  Pastor Brad Meinders will preach on the I & II Kings.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY: We extend our Christian sympathies to Shirley Van Hal and Ruth Van Hal on the death their brother-in-law, Geurt Van Hal in Chicago on February 23.  We rejoice in the hope of everlasting life in Jesus Christ.

We wish a happy birthday to Ron Spoelstra who will celebrate his 80th birthday on March 2, and to Martha Slings who will celebrate her 102nd birthday on March 7, and pray for God’s continued blessings.

The Practical Care Team is requesting assistance with rides for John Van Zee to West Ridge in Knoxville on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, leaving Pella at 1:00 p.m., one way.  Contact Wes Veenstra, 641-204-1956, or Arlys Veenstra, 641-780-1967, for more details.

MONDAY:  Perk-Up will meet at 9:00 a.m. at Happy Joe’s.  All ladies are welcome.

WEDNESDAY:  Come join the Cadets and GEMS on March 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the PCGS gym for our annual Pinewood Derby races.  Everyone is welcome to race in our open class; even with an old car.  The only requirement is that the car weighs less than 5 ounces and be registered BEFORE 7:00 p.m.  Even if you don’t want to race, come join us for ice cream after the races!

ADULT CHOIR’S next rehearsal will be Wednesday, March 11, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

OFFERING:  Our offering today will go to the “Pella II GEMS”.  Our offering March 8 will go to “World Renew”.  Loose change and undesignated checks go towards the mission or organization of the week.  If you desire to contribute to Second Christian Reformed Church and its ministries, simply write “Pella 2” on the memo line of your check. ADVANCE NOTICES:

The P.E.T. Fundraising Auction will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at Pella Christian High School.   The meal will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will start at 7:00 p.m.  There are sign-up sheets downstairs for auction items and volunteers.

Cadet-O-Rama – Treat your family to a great morning and support the Cadets of Hawkeye Council by attending the annual Cadet-O-Rama March 28, 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Vermeer Pavilion in Pella. View badge work and projects of Cadets, enjoy great food and test your skills at carnival events.  For the Pinewood Derby race schedule and more details of the day, see the poster on the bulletin board downstairs.

Pella Christian High School concludes their theatre season on March 27-28 with one of Oscar Wilde’s popular comedies, The Importance of Being Earnest.  The Victorian farce is set in 1894 and deals with the adventures of two care-free gentlemen both posing as ‘Ernest’ to win the girl of their heart. Reserved tickets available on-line starting March 9.

Parent Preview Night – Pella Christian High School invites all parents of 8th graders to the annual Parent Preview Night on Tuesday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.  Information about high school (academics, extra-curriculars, costs, financial aid, etc.) will be shared.  Refreshments and a time of fellowship and tours of the building will follow the meeting.  Anyone who knows of a family considering PCHS (for any HS-aged student) is encouraged to personally invite them to this meeting.

CREATION STATION:  Online Creation Station Christian Preschool Intention forms for the 2020-2021 school year go live on the school website pellachristian.net under the Preschool tab at 9:00 pm. on March 3, 2020.  Preregistration for Creation Station Christian Preschool is highly recommended, as classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Creation Station will once again be offering Three School, Preschool, One-to-Grow-On and Spanish Immersion classes.  Be sure to mark your calendars for March 3! DUTCH LETTERS:  Peoria Christian School Dutch Letter orders can be placed through March 13 with any school family or call Michelle De Haan (641-660-7373).  Each Letter is $4.25 or 6 for $25 or 12 for $48.  They will be made Saturday, March 21, and need to be picked up that day at the school or at Chris and Lisa Ver Meer’s in Pella.

HOSPICE OF PELLA has scheduled a six-week volunteer training class for Thursday mornings, March 19-April 23 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. at the Comfort House meeting room.  To sign up, or for more information, call 641-620-5050.
