OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:  It’s that time of the year where we remember the greatest gift ever given and we pass on the love and joy of that gift to others!  We’re letting our excitement team up with the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes again this year.  This means sharing a little bit of what we have with kids that need it. A few suggested gifts for shoeboxes: Small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, yo-yos, jump ropes, pens, markers, crayons, paper, coloring and picture books, writing pads, solar calculators, t-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, etc. Please note: due to increasing customs, toothpaste, gum, and all forms of candy are no longer allowed. Do Not Include used or damaged items or war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures, chocolate or lotions/liquids. There are boxes downstairs or fill your own shoebox or small plastic container. If you want to fill a box but don’t want to do the shopping, please give your money to Stephanie Roose by Wednesday, November 14, and we will fill a box for you. Please return your box to church by Sunday, November 18.

THANK YOU for helping  make the Cary Fish Fry a success.  Thank you to those who worked at the supper and came to the supper to support Cary Christian Center.  The four people who came from Cary had a great time and enjoyed spending time with you.

Talk to me and I will give you more information.  Thank you! – Kathleen De Haan

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:  Winter Retreat will be held at Lake View Camp on December 15 and 16.  The topic will be over John 3:30 – “He must increase, but I must decrease.”  We will see how we each can live this out in this world. FROM LE MAHIEU’S:  As we enter this month of Thanksgiving, we want to offer our sincerest thanks for your recent gift and ongoing support for our family and our work in Papua New Guinea.  Without your generosity we would not be able to continue our work with Wycliffe.  We are thankful that Doug can teach missionary children and Papuan New Guinean students at Ukarumpa International School.  We are thankful that Benita is able to work on the typesetting of the Bau storybook Bible.  We appreciate you continuing to walk with us.  May God enlarge your witness for His kingdom as you serve Him in central Iowa.  In Christ – Doug, Benita, Noah and Tia Le Mahieu
