Pella Christian FFA Chapter Update:

  • More than 50 members and guests attended the kick-off event in September.
  • 25 members participated in FFA contests at Clark County fairgrounds September 17. Members were able to learn about livestock evaluation, dairy foods, and vet science.
  • Five members attended the National Convention October 30-November 1 and had a great time hearing from speakers and exploring the expo.

Upcoming events:

  1. Fruit delivery the first week in December. Hard copy ordering has now closed. You may still make purchases online at rethmeiere@pceagles.org.
  2. KEY Cooperative Bushels for Ag program allows producers to donate any amount of corn or soybeans to the Pella Christian FFA chapter at any KEY location. FFA members will then practice their marketing skills in class to sell the grain. Income from grain sales will go to the chapter to support events such as our annual banquet, state convention, FFA Week celebrations, and leadership training.

As you can see the PCHS Ag/FFA program has had a busy year already. Please continue to pray for this program and its members. We appreciate your support!

CUSTODIANS NEEDED:  PCHS has an immediate opening for two custodians to share afternoon/evening custodial duties.  Work duties would include general daily cleaning and could include some event management.  Hours are afternoon and evening hours with some flexibility, depending on the school’s events schedule.  These positions would be ideal for a parent or retiree.  Please contact Principal Dan Van Kooten at 628-4440 or vankootend@pceagles.org.
