December 1 and 2 Christmas Musical Rehearsal, 4:30-5:30 p.m.

At 6:00 p.m. we will join First CRC and Faith CRC at First CRC for worship.  Pastor Ryan Faber will be preaching. The offering will be for the Luke Society.

NEXT SUNDAY:  We look forward to celebrating the Lord’s Supper next Sunday morning.

Next Sunday we will pause from our sermon series “Amazing Grace” to begin a special Advent Series entitled, “A Christmas Carol”.  Each week we’ll be discussing the amazing biblical truths found in some of the best love Christmas songs.  You’ll be amazed!  Consider inviting a friend to join us.

Next Sunday evening our worship service will be held at the First Reformed Church at 6:00 p.m.  Our church is sponsoring the 60-voice Community Choir Musical Emmanuel, God With Us, including orchestration, to celebrate our Savior’s birth. There will be congregational singing and a meditation by Pastor Paul Bradford.   Proceeds from the offering will go to Freedom House.  Handicap parking and access to the sanctuary are available on the north side of the church.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY:  Bryan Harthoorn will be having foot surgery on Monday to remove a piece of infected bone.  This infection seems to be the underlying reason that the sore on his foot nearly heals, then breaks open again.  Surgery will be at Boone County Hospital, which is where he has been receiving wound care.  He will likely be in the hospital for most of the week, possibly coming home on Thursday or Friday, and will be off his feet (and off work) for a minimum of three weeks.  Please pray for a successful surgery and quick healing.

We wish a happy birthday to Arietta De Graaf, who will celebrate her 95th birthday on November 28, and to Kathleen De Haan, who will celebrate her 84th birthday on November 28, and pray for God’s continued blessings.

“We want to thank the congregation for the wonderful cards and gifts we received, both for Pastors Appreciation month and for our anniversary celebration.  We have felt very warmly welcomed at Pella II and praise the Lord that we have the privilege of serving this wonderful congregation.” – Pastor Paul and Tammy
