CRC NEWS AND PRAYER ITEMS

GROUNDWORK: Know That God Is Working – When life has fallen apart, it can be difficult to know where or how to begin rebuilding.  Join Groundwork as we study the rebuilding of Jerusalem in Ezra 1-2, Ezra 7:1-8, and Nehemiah 1:1-4 for Biblical wisdom and guidance for rebuilding with confidence after life knocks us down.   Listen now at GroundworkOnline.com.

KIDS CORNER: Liz: Temptation Hunter – Even though Grandpa warns him, Liz can’t ignore  the temptation of fame and fortune and an adventure looking for hidden treasure.  Listen now at kidscorner.net.  Download this month’s Kids Corner puzzle and game giveaway The Bible Challenge Activity book 8.

AT-HOME FAITH FORMATION TIP: Some wisdom to think about and talk about this week:  “It’s a gift to joyfully recognize and accept our own smallness and ordinariness.  Then you are free with nothing to live up to, nothing to prove, and nothing to protect.  Such freedom is my best description of Christian maturity, because once you know that your ‘I’ is great and one with God, you can, ironically, be quite content with a small and ordinary ‘I’.” – Richard Rohr, Radical Grace: Daily Meditations.

FROM WORLD RENEW:  Today is World Hunger Sunday! – Today we are taking a collection to support the work of World Renew as they walk with hungry families around the world.  Each of the 821 million hungry people on our planet are as particular and precious to God as you are.  Thank you for giving as you are able to a ministry that firmly believes that God can “accomplish abundantly far more than all we ask or imagine.”
