ADVANCE NOTICES:

Family Faith Formation Seminar:  Living Into Our Faith – One Generation to the Next – The home is the most important influence on a child’s faith.  But talking about faith does not come easily to every parent or caregiver, and in today’s busy families, time is not always a friend.  How can the church support families in teaching their children how to live into their faith?  Peoria CRC invites you to a seminar on Saturday, October 6, 7:00 p.m. at Peoria Christian School gym on Family Faith Formation led by Trudy Ash from Faith Formation Ministries. She will be sharing a new practical resource on Family Faith Formation as well as walk through some basic shifts in our thinking that have the potential to build a stronger, more vibrant faith formation culture in your congregation.  All are welcome!  There is no charge and coffee will be provided.

Freedom House Training – September 25, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at Third Reformed Church.  This training will focus on developing the knowledge of what human trafficking is as well as developing skills for how to best work with victims and survivors of human trafficking.  We have room for 35 people.   The training is free, and $10 for lunch at Third’s Café.  If you are wanting to volunteer at the Freedom House, this will qualify for part of your training.  To secure your spot, send $10 to P. O. Box 815, Pella, IA  50219.

Save the Date:  New Life Prison Community Church will be sponsoring a free Christian Concert on Saturday, October 13, at 7:00 p.m.  Jeff Arrandale Band will be playing at Grace Fellowship in Pella.  A free-will offering will be taken for New Life.

Save the Date for the Peoria Christian School Fall Bazaar on Friday, November 9.  Please plan to join us for some delicious food and a fun night as we support Peoria Christian School.  If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Ver Meer or Heidi Van Wyk.
