OUR CHURCH FAMILY:  We extend our Christian sympathies to Mae Vander Wiel on the death of her brother Ray Vander Wiel on December 4, and to Sid Klyn, Sylvia Langstraat, Marion and Glenda Klyn and Les and Linda Klyn on the death of their wife and sister-in-law, Mary, on December 5.  May God comfort them with the hope of eternal life in Jesus our Lord.

“Thank you, dear friends, for your cards, phone calls and well wishes for my birthday.  Also, I want to thank you for your prayers and concern while I was sick.  It is great to be a part of the family of God.” – Kathleen De Haan

MONDAY:  The all-church prayer meeting will be held online from 6:30-7:30 p.m. via Zoom.  We invite all to join us to pray for the ministries and outreach of our congregation, and to pray for our community and nation.  To join the prayer meeting, go online to: bit.ly/37Vo5Rx.  You can also join by phone.  Dial 312-626-6799 and then enter the Meeting ID: 781 4177 8542 and Passcode: 570820.

Collection boxes are available at the foot of the east steps through today, December 13, for Joel & Jeannie Huyser, Doug & Benita Le Mahieu, Lloyd & Nancy Peckham and Justin Van Zee. No postage or envelopes are needed. Mission Outreach will handle the mailing.  Missionaries often tell us that they enjoy getting cards from Pella II.  Please show them your support with a card.

PELLA CORPORATION EMPLOYEES & RETIREES:  To use 2020 matching funds for the new building project, a request must be submitted by 12/31/2020.  To facilitate this, please have all gifts in by Sunday, December 13.  Please also contact Corey Magnussen to request a special giving receipt, and for any help needed submitting the matching funds request.

ADVANCE NOTICE:

We will meet on Christmas Day at 9:30 a.m. to celebrate our Savior’s birth.

HYMN/SONG REQUESTS, ANYONE?  Even though “social distancing” has made it a challenge to stay connected, please be assured that you have not been forgotten!  Choir members and other musicians would be happy to serenade you with a hymn or song that’s meaningful to you, even if over the phone.  Contact Barbara Boertje DeVries with ideas, requests, and/or for encouragement!

LIVE VIDEO: During this morning’s service a live video with audio of the service is projected on a large screen TV in the Fellowship Hall in the basement for parents or others who need to leave during the service.  Restrooms are available downstairs.  Our services are also live streamed and recorded each Sunday on YouTube, bit.ly/Pella2.

OFFERING:  Our offering today will go to the “Cary Christian Center in Cary, Mississippi”.  Our offering December 20 will go to the “General Fund”.   Undesignated cash or check offerings go towards the mission or QR Codeorganization of the week.  If you desire to contribute to Second Christian Reformed Church and its ministries, simply write “Pella 2” on the memo line of your check. You can also give online by scanning the QR code to the right or by going online to pella2crc.breezechms.com/give/online.
