“Thank you for all your prayers, phone calls, cards and visits to our mother over the years.  She deeply appreciated her church family.  Words cannot express how much our family relished the meal prepared by the Meal Ministry.  Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

“To the Van drivers:  Our mother looked forward to being able to ride to church in the van.  She not only valued the service but treasured her talks with the drivers; she so enjoyed hearing about what they and their families were doing.” – The family of Gertrude Wassink

CANDLELIGHT SERVICES:  Three identical candlelight services are being arranged in order to accommodate more attendees while maintaining social distancing guidelines.  The times are: Saturday, December 12 at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 13 at 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.  A ticketing process will help guarantee seating.

A survey form has been sent out by email to reserve tickets.  If anyone did not receive a survey please contact Regina at 785-545-6226 or info@pella2crc.org.  For those without internet, a paper survey form has been sent to you.  Tickets for each service will be issued and given to attendees, taking into consideration responses to the survey.  A response to the survey is required in order to receive a ticket.  Tickets, which are free, will be required in order to be admitted to a candlelight service.  Thank you in advance for your flexibility as we work to accommodate as many attendees as feasible. – Governing Board

CHRISTMAS CARDS FOR MISSIONARIES:  It is the time of year to remember Pella II’s missionaries with Christmas cards. Collection boxes are available at the foot of the east steps today through December 13 for Joel & Jeannie Huyser, Doug & Benita Le Mahieu, Lloyd & Nancy Peckham and Justin Van Zee. No postage or envelopes are needed. Mission Outreach will handle the mailing.  Missionaries often tell us that they enjoy getting cards from Pella II.  Please show them your support with a card.

PELLA CORPORATION EMPLOYEES & RETIREES:  To use 2020 matching funds for the new building project, a request must be submitted by 12/31/2020.  To facilitate this, please have all gifts in by Sunday, December 13.  Please also contact Corey Magnussen to request a special giving receipt, and for any help needed submitting the matching funds request.

HYMN/SONG REQUESTS, ANYONE?  Even though “social distancing” has made it a challenge to stay connected, please be assured that you have not been forgotten!  Choir members and other musicians would be happy to serenade you with a hymn or song that’s meaningful to you, even if over the phone.  Contact Barbara Boertje DeVries with ideas, requests, and/or for encouragement!

LIVE VIDEO: During this morning’s service a live video with audio of the service is projected on a large screen TV in the Fellowship Hall in the basement for parents or others who need to leave during the service.  Restrooms are available downstairs.  Our services are also live streamed and recorded each Sunday on YouTube, bit.ly/Pella2.
